How do I keep the water clean & fresh?
For the best experience, always start with fresh water in your ice bath. If you’re not using any treatment, we recommend changing the water every 3–5 sessions (or about once a week) to keep things hygienic and fresh.
If you’d like your water to stay clean for much longer, we recommend our Water Cleaner, specifically formulated for cold plunge maintenance. With just a small dose added on setup and a quick top-up each week, most users only need to change their water every 3–4 weeks. It keeps your water clear, fresh, and free from bacteria - without harsh chemicals or hassle.
How much ice do I need without a chiller?
We recommend adding 15-40lbs of ice to the Pod per session depending on the initial water temperature. The amount of ice needed highly depends on your tap water temperature, the climate you live in, and how cold you desire it to be. If you live in colder climates, adding ice may not even be needed.
We also offer our Refillable Ice Packs which makes huge 3lb ice blocks in your home freezer that will last significantly longer than regular ice cubes, and melt a lot slower.
Since the Pod is insulated it will keep the water cold for longer, and you may therefore not have to add as much ice after the first time.

That said, we recommend placing it in a shaded area to keep the water cooler for longer and extend the life of the materials. During extreme heat or freezing temperatures, it’s best to cover it or store it indoors to prevent any unnecessary wear.
