Need help setting up your Recovery Chiller? Here is a step-by-step guide to a quick and easy setup, in both video & written form.
Written Instructions
Setup
1. Fill your tub or Nuvio Pod with minimal water in the coolest area possible for faster cooling.
2. Place the chiller next to the tub on a stable surface, leaving a 20-inch gap around it for airflow; avoid covering it.
3. Remove port stoppers, securely twist hoses onto chiller ports to prevent leaks.
4. Attach the small hose connector to the water pump, then connect it to one of the hoses.
5. Submerge the pump fully BEFORE plugging it into a power source. You can secure it to the tub’s side if flat.
6. Place the other hose into the tub.
7. Plug in the chiller, switch on the power and remove the screen protector.
8. Set your temperature using the remote or on-screen display. Press ‘SET’ and use UP/DOWN arrows; hold to adjust faster.
9. ALWAYS unplug or turn off the water pump BEFORE entering the tub.
Switching °F/°C: Hold both 'MODE' & 'SET', press 'MODE', use the up arrow to change, then press 'MODE' again to confirm.
Maintenance
1. To ensure clean ice bath water, we recommend draining & refilling the ice bath water once per week.
2. You can leave the chiller running 24/7, but we recommend turning it off for 1-2 hours once per week to optimize system efficiency.

The display screen isn't turning on
Please check all of the following:
- Check the power cable is securely connected to the chiller and plugged into a power supply.
- Check the power supply switch and the switch on the chiller are turned on.
- Ensure your power supply suits 110V.
Water isn’t flowing out of one of the hoses (when the chiller is on & the temperature is set)
Please check all of the following:
- Ensure the pump is fully submerged and is plugged into a power supply.
- Ensure the port stoppers have been removed from the chiller ports before securing the hoses on.
- Check the hoses are not twisted or have any folds in them preventing water flow.
- Remove the weighted water filter from the hose and wash it to ensure it is not clogged.
The water temperature isn’t cooling fast enough (decreasing by less than 2°F per hour)
Please check all of the following:
- Check that water is flowing out of one of the hoses - if not, check the point above.
- Ensure sufficient ventilation - leave at least 20 inches of space around the chiller and do not enclose it in any container.
- Ensure the air temperature doesn’t exceed 85°F - set up in the coolest place possible (indoors if your climate is hot).
- Ensure the water volume does not exceed 80 Gallons - if it does, try removing some water.
